Knocking over those crates of beer was a death
sentence. I did it on purpose, in front of everyone, and then I did the only
thing I could—I ran. I think I saved the starman. Now, the only way I’ll know,
is if the supply ship comes in time to drive the raiders away—and I get back
out of Blacklegs’ Forest alive. Wish me luck, okay? I’m gonna need it.

New Release: The Soul in the Sword by C.M. Simpson
The second of this week's new releases is another short story from C.M. Simpson.
When an Arach raiding party attacks a wagon train and moves
on to take on the next town, Dannon is part of the out-riders who must clean up
in their wake. The dead girl on the wagon is just one of many reasons he
doesn’t like spiders, or the elves that ride them.
The Soul in the Sword is a short tale of
fantasy battle, which will be incorporated into An Anthology of Blades.
It is available as a stand-alone story from Smashwords, and will soon be available from Kobo, Kindle,
iTunes, and Nook.

First Paragraphs: Fisherpriest
Fisherpriest is the first book in the Tales of the Five Kingdoms series. Its main character, Linna steps between two worlds when the two halves of her soul are reunited, and must learn to find her way in a new world.
I
did not know, when I created the fisher priests, that they existed, and it was
certainly never my intention to become one.
Fisherpriest was released in October 2012 and can be purchased from the following locations:
