NEW RELEASE—The Depredides Dance by C.M. Simpson

The first release for July is now live. C.M. Simpson's dark science-fiction short story, The Depredides Dance, is set directly after the events in Mack 'n' Me: Origins and is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, Kobo, and multiple stores via Books2Read, as well as via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution.

All I had to do was disappear. That was it: disappear and stay out of sight. Hard enough with Abs running an auction for the last location she left me, but then I poked the Depredides communications network—and everything else looked downright easy… I’m not even sure there is a way out of this…

The Depredides Dance is a stand-alone short story set in the Odyssey universe. However, if you’re into reading things in order, it tells the story of what happened to Cutter after the end of Mack ‘n’ Me: Origins, and thus forms story 1-1 of the Mack ‘n’ Me ‘n’ Odyssey series.

NOTE: The main character swears like a sailor, and the support cast aren’t much better. If swears bother you, then this story may not be to your taste.

Well, the year is really flying by! We've hit the half-way point already, and are looking down the barrel of the home straight for the year. Here's a quick review of what we released in the second quarter:

April 2018

6th: Dreams of the Serpent by C.M. Simpson

When the contract’s done, and you’re fleeing for your life, the company’s supposed to be on your side, right? Am I right? So, you tell me what happens when the company understands the contract wrong, and you get stuck somewhere you really don’t wanta be. You tell me how I’m gonna make it back to the stars.

A short science fiction story set in the Odyssey universe.

Dreams of the Serpent is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

13th: Dear Tiger: Let's Go A-Hunting by Carlie Simonsen

Several solar systems apart, Simone and Tiger must work together to rescue Marrietta before FedExplore terminates her as an experiment gone wrong. It’s a race against time, complicated by the increasing chances of an alien incursion, and Simone’s parents putting themselves in danger in Sharvin’s ruins. This time, the chances of them reuniting have never seemed so far away.

Dear Tiger: Let’s Go A-Hunting is the fifth chapter book in the Letters Across Space series. It can also be found in The Dear Tiger Omnibus, which compiles the first six books in the series into a single volume.

Dear Tiger: Let's Go A-Hunting is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

20th: Mack 'n' Me: Origins by C.M. Simpson

I ran away from home to find a better life—not be forced into one. You can call me picky, but a girl likes to be asked if she wants to work for you, not coerced—and Odyssey should know better. Now, I have to find a way to kick free—of Odyssey, and my trainer, Mack—without getting myself killed. Surviving the mission is just the first step. Getting out from under, that’s gonna take some doing.

Mack ‘n’ Me: Origins is a science-fiction novel set in the Odyssey universe. More specifically, it is the beginning of Cutter’s love-hate relationship with Mack and his merry band of space-faring freelancers.

NOTE: The main character swears like a sailor, and the support cast aren’t much better. If swears bother you, this story may not be to your taste.

Mack 'n' Me: Origins is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, Google Play and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

27th: Dear Tiger: Help Me Find My Sisters by Carlie Simonsen

Simone and Tiger are almost within touching distance, when their lives take dramatically different directions, but Simone needs Tiger’s help, and he faces a difficult choice. Does he try to join her, as she races to rescue her sisters, or can he be of more help where he is? And will this be the mission that ends with them together? Or will they be torn apart… again?

Dear Tiger: Help Me Find My Sisters is the sixth chapter book in the Letters Across Space series. It can also be found in The Dear Tiger Omnibus, which compiles the first six books in the series into a single volume.

Dear Tiger: Help Me Find My Sisters is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

May 2018

4th: Destiny's Queen by C.M. Simpson

Life’s not fair, when you have to find a fiancé or risk setting your kingdom up for a fall. It’s not fair, when your dead lover comes to call, assassins in his wake, and your dead maid by his side. And it’s really not fair, when everything happens on the night of your suitors’ ball. It never rains but it pours. I am a queen by blood and right, and not some random happenstance—yet who am I to argue when Destiny comes to call?

Destiny's Queen is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

11th: Rocky & the Raptors by Carlie Simonsen

When Rosie’s teddybear is stolen by a bird, Rocky has to go into raptor territory to get it back, before Rosie tries to fetch it herself—and all without the raptors knowing he’s there. Just how far will he go to bring her Teddy home?

Rocky and the Raptors is the sixth book in the Otherworld Adventures series, and is set on the new world, where Rocky’s parents now farm alongside the aliens who have asked for their help. This, and the other five books in the series, can be found in The Rocky Adventures Omnibus.

Rocky & the Raptors is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, Google Play and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

18th: Mack 'n' Me: Blaedergil's Host by C.M. Simpson

I stayed off Mack's radar for a good three months, or so I'd thought. Maybe he was just letting me run. He found me, kicked my backside and hauled me right back on board. He'd been doing that on and off for the past twelve months. Problem was, Odyssey was also on my tail, and, when this job was done, Mack was supposed to hand me back. Not gonna happen. And, now I was back to Square One: Kick free of Odyssey and kick free of Mack... just as soon as the mission was done, because how could I turn my back on *that*?

Mack ‘n’ Me: Blaedergil’s Host is the second science-fiction novel set in the Odyssey universe. In it, Cutter is back in Mack’s company, and still trying to work out how to get away from him, his merry band of space-faring freelancers, and Odyssey.

NOTE: The main character swears like a sailor, and the support cast aren’t much better. If swears bother you, then this story may not be to your taste.

Mack 'n' Me: Blaedergil's Host is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, Google Play and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

25th: The Dear Tiger Omnibus by Carlie Simonsen

Away at boarding school, Simone misses her parents, and she misses her friend, Tiger, but they keep in touch, and it’s better than being dragged from one new world to the next. When a package arrives from her parents, Simone’s excited—but, opening it changes her whole world, and only Tiger can help her… if she can reach him, which is a whole lot harder than it seems.

The Dear Tiger Omnibus contains all six books from the Dear Tiger series including: Dear Tiger: I Miss You, Dear Tiger: I Don’t Think I’m Human Anymore, Dear Tiger: Don’t Look Back, Dear Tiger: I Like Your Lab, Dear Tiger: Let’s Go A-Hunting, and Dear Tiger: Help Me Find My Sisters.

The Dear Tiger Omnibus is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction,  and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

June 2018

1st: Harper's Choice by C.M. Simpson

“The world turns differently for each of us, and we have no choice but to take its hand and dance the next set of steps.” (Argyllis, 2017)

Harper disagreed. Rescuing pixies from drug-runners, and working alongside unicorns and elves was part of her job. The world had turned, and she had chosen, but, when she is badly injured and taken into the elven realms, Harper finds she has a whole new set of steps to choose—and that time, indeed, moves differently in the Other World.

Harper's Choice is a dark fantasy short story available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

21st: Mack 'n' Me: Arach by C.M. Simpson

Nothing ruins a good cup of kaff than a spider teleporting on board… and these were in the six-foot-business-suite-and-tie range, carrying blasters and a sense of entitlement like you wouldn’t believe. They gave me a job to do, and held my ship hostage while I went to do it—and *that’s* when everything went all to Hell. Exactly how I’m gonna get us out of this one, is a mystery to me. First step, though, is to bust Mack and the ship right out of their eight-legged claws. Piece of cake. Right?

Mack ‘n’ Me: Arach is the third science-fiction novel set in the Odyssey universe. Cutter is running with Mack and his merry band of space-faring freelancers, and, outside the occasional contract, Odyssey are leaving them well alone.

NOTE: The main character swears like a sailor, and the support cast aren’t much better. If swears bother you, then this story may not be to your taste.

Mack 'n' Me: Arach is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, Google Play and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.

29th:The Rocky Adventures Omnibus by Carlie Simonsen

Being a big brother isn’t easy—especially when your sister believes her Teddy is on a mission to save the world. And all because you said so. From trying to rescue his parents, to saving Christmas, to protecting his sister from rogue kitties, moon dragons and ravenous velociraptors, Rocky discovers some things never change—and that being a brother is one of them.

The Rocky Adventures Omnibus collects the six stories following Rocky’s adventures as he travels from Earth to the distant world of Tallonna, where his family will make its home with the aliens that have asked for their help.

The Rocky Adventures Omnibus is available direct from Amazon, Smashwords, DriveThruFiction, Google Play, and Kobo, and via Smashwords and Draft2Digital distribution. More links can be found at Books2Read.
