 An Anthology of Dragons is a dragon-themed collection of short stories and poetry. Poetry consists of a collection of haiku describing a battle between a dragon and a knight, and a more modern style of poem describing the search for a dragon in the modern world. The four short stories explore dragons as intelligent shapeshifter, companion and beast.

Dragon Coast is about a young girl’s struggle to find a career. Jessica is out of work and in desperate need of a job. When fashion company, Dragon Coast, start advertising vacancies, she decides to aim high and then work her way down the list.
Everything has its Price is about a tale told by a squire about a blind bard’s encounter with a dragon.
The Duel is about two young men engaging in a duel over a woman’s honour.
Dueling with the Dragon is a series of haiku depicting a battle between a dragon and a knight.
Where be Dragon? is a speculative paranormal urban poem about the discovery of a modern dragon.
The Dragon in my Shadow about the discovery of another urban dragon, albeit this time in an office environment in the middle of one woman’s battle for career survival.

An Anthology of Battle

An Anthology of Battle is a collection of short stories and poems about war and the aftermath of war.

A Vignette for Rashkah opens with Rashkah's mother mourning the death of Rashkah's last surviving brother. When raiders attack their village, Rashkah's life is irrevocably changed, although some elements remain the same.

A Window on Salukia is a short story made up of a series of linked vignettes describing cyclic battles and aftermaths in fantasy, pseudo-contemporary, and science fiction settings.

Jacob's Vision is Erin’s story of her planet-bound experiences after an interplanetary war. She describes the fate of a war hero, and of the start of re-building.

War's End is a non-rhyming poem describes one way to end a war.

Keeping the Peace is a poem noting one of the ironies of peace-keeping.

Death at War's End is a poem taking a different view of the aftermath of war.
Jalaya describes the last battle in a ten-year-long war. It is a science-fiction story of family, long-standing love and of sacrifices made for the sake of community, duty and loyalty. It is a story of heroes, fire-fights, wits and courage.

An Anthology of Those Who Walk Among Us

An Anthology of Those Who Walk Among Us is a collection of short stories about creatures passing as humans in human settings, each of which is available individually. Stories cover a range of genres from paranormal urban to science fiction to magic realism. They feature the ubiquitious werewolves and vampires as well as other types of shape-shifters, or humans who aren’t quite all human.

Shadow Life is set in the paranormal night time of our own world. Denie’s lover has been murdered and she must cross the boundary between life and undeath to wreak her revenge.
Nothing is a very short story about the survivors of a starship’s crash landing.
Esmeralda and the Breeze is a short story in the magic realism genre centered around a young woman finding her place in a world that largely rejects her
Nurse is a short horror story, featuring a secretive species of vampire and its newest recruit.
Treaty Time is a short science fiction story that continues the story of human settlement started in ‘Nothing’. In this tale, both humans and shifters discover they are not alone, and that some memories are inherited.
Peace Flower is a short fantasy story set in a time of war and change. Shoru is descended from a long line of sorceresses, once valued for their skills. How they are viewed in the future, depends on the battle’s outcome.

An Anthology of Worlds

An Anthology of Worlds is a collection of short stories and poems that play with the idea of exploring different worlds. Some of these worlds are parallel to our own and others are literally on other planets, but all deal with a reality that's not the same as we know it now.

On a Ship Called Mythicus is about the star ship Mythicus, which is crewed by creatures of myth and legend, fairytale and urban lore. In this short episode, it and its crew pursue a space pirate. With its firestarter captain and a defense system that takes its nomenclature too literally, this ship is one of a kind, a fact the rest of human space should be grateful for.
Finders-Keepers is about a single gold coin shining on the pavement, which no one but me seems to have noticed. I watch it, hoping someone will take it and claim it as their own. Needing someone to take it. Please take it.
In a Cyber-World is a social comment in poem form about how cyber communications and social niceties.
Two Worlds Collide is a modern poem about the things we glimpse from the corners of our eyes.
Palmyra Ridge  is about Chani, who still dreams of the ritual of Severance, which allowed her to leave her people's homeland, but when the company she works for moves to take her people's lands, she is exactly where she needs to be. All she has to do is convince Security Officer Asleyan that her visits to Palmyra Ridge are essential, and maybe gain his assistance in defending those she holds most dear. But the security officer has a heritage and fears of his own. Can two people from two very different cultures work together to save nation, while retaining their own sense of self and sanity? Palmyra Ridge is a short science fiction story exploring issues of belonging, bloodlines and heritage in a changing world.
Nettlefold Princess tells how all is not well in Nettlefold Hollow. Teenager, Amity, claims she see things in the shadows and refuses to go out at night. Her classmates laugh at her until she goes missing on the way home from school. When her best friend, Samantha, looks in Amity's locker and finds her diary, she learns that Amity was being haunted by a fairy prince. Who can she rely on to help her with a problem like that?
Screams for the Dying is a short science fiction story that blends myth, fantasy and science fiction. In the time in which this short story is set, banshees and star ships are real, and so are a lot of other things.

The Buried Blade When the grass in one of her uncle's fields starts to die, Amanda tries to work out why, but her uncle only sees stones, where she sees fragments of pottery. In a war as old as time, will Amanda convince her uncle of the truth, and remain unscathed, or will she fall under the control of an old and subtle power?

The Soul in the Sword: When an Arach raiding party attacks a wagon train and moves on to take on the next town, Dannon is part of the out-riders who must clean up in their wake. The dead girl on the wagon is just one of many reasons he doesn’t like spiders, or the elves that ride them.

The Soul in the Sword is a short tale of fantasy battle, which will be incorporated into An Anthology of Blades. Darkness and Light is a short tale of dark fantasy and a battle older than time. Gods in the Lianreaida is a story of high magic and the gods.

When Larias, god of problem-solving and secrets, flies over the forbidden lands of the elves, he only hopes to discover what force is powerful enough to breach the elven magic protecting the forest. What he finds, instead, is a battle in which he is compelled to intervene, but, regardless of intent, when gods meddle in the realms of other gods, there is always a price to pay.

Gods in the Lianreida is a short story taken from Shadow’s Fall, the third novel in the Shadow series. It is currently available as a chapter in that novel or a stand-alone story, but will be eventually incorporated in An Anthology of Gods and Older Magic, and the collection, Short Stories and Poetry from 2013.

Magick on the Forest’s Edge is a fantasy short story, where two children investigate a magical alarm, and face the consequences of trying to do the right thing against great odds.


Forced to flee with her village, priestly apprentice, Althessa, discovers that danger comes in many guises and salvation is often unexpected. When their undead pursuers are slain by an unknown force, Althessa assists her mistress in consecrating their remains to ensure they cannot return from the dead, yet again. But magick calls from a nearby forest, and another life is in danger. One of those responsible for bringing down their pursuers is balanced on the edge of death. With the priests too busy to assist, and only her wizardly brother to help her, can Althessa perform the healing required, or will the attempt bring death to all who dare it?

Danzer is a VR combat star. Unfortunately, somebody wants him dead. Is it a private vendetta from someone he’s defeated, a disgruntled fan, or someone else entirely. Whoever they are, their poetry stinks, but its meaning is clear. Security personnel for the VR games insist on overseeing the match between him and his most dangerous opponent, but no one knows if it will be enough. Will Security succeed in their intervention, or will their efforts result in more than Danzer losing their lives?

When a leading ‘bug’ researcher is returned to normal size early, he discovers the science which alters his size has a flaw. Can his best friend help him out of the trouble he’s in?

He says pigs might fly before a girl would be any good at running a farm. How is Lily going to convince him that farming is the only thing she has ever wanted to do, and that she is the best of his offspring to take over when he is gone? And what do her dreams and hopes have to do with flying pigs?

A letter reveals the writer’s love for her daughter, and her reasons for leaving the child behind. It is a tale of flight and rescue, the birth of an AI, and reveals a weakness that plagues the deadly enemy on her trail.
