Publisher Update: December 9, 2017

It's been a busy month so far. We've been following up with our authors, and slowing getting next year's publishing schedule into shape, as well as rounding out the last few releases of the year. So far, we have the following titles lined up:

December 2017

15th - The Trading Game by Ellie Moonwater
29th - 366 Days of Flash Fiction by C.M.Simpson

The Trading Game has been uploaded for pre-order to all outlets and distributors. It is also ready for release as a paperback via CreateSpace, so will take a few days to appear on Amazon. 366 Days of Flash Fiction is currently undergoing edits and formatting, and we are still waiting on a cover.

January 2018

5th - The Queen's Game by C.M. Simpson
13th - A Planet's Ransom by Carlie Simonsen
27th - Welcome to the Fruit Platter by Ellie Moonwater

The Queen's Game is an urban-fantasy short story set in the Otherworld universe, dealing with the clash of cultural expectations, and other, more sordid matters to do with elves, trolls, and trafficking. It has gone through the first stage of edits and is waiting for final edits before entering the publishing phase. A full cover has been requested. A Planet's Ransom is a stand-alone science-fiction novel for young adults, possessing themes of racism, sexism and ostracism as well as interplanetary politics. We've only just received this from Carlie, and have placed it in the editing queue, as well as requesting a full cover. Welcome to the Fruit Platter is an erotic urban fantasy romance revolving around werewolves and multiple partners. Again, it is queued for editing and a cover has been requested. Carlie has said she may complete a short chapter book in time for a January release, so we are hoping that comes through. She has until the end of the week, or it will have to given a later release date.

February through June

As promised, C.M. Simpson has delivered the short story releases through to June, and we will be scheduling their editing and publishing around longer works that are penciled in for earlier releases. The short stories pending are as follows:

February - Reluctant Liaison (urban fantasy set in the Pixie-Dust world); March - Memory's Vampire (horror and dreaming); April - Dreams of the Serpent (science fiction set in the Odyssey universe); May - Destiny's Queen (a stand-alone fantasy); and June - Harper's Choice (an urban-fantasy, science-fiction, time-travel cross-over set in the Pixie Dust world).

First Quarter Releases for 2017

The following titles were released in the first quarter of 2017:

JANUARY 2017

6th - ROAD TRIP

When Melange feels the pull of utter dread emanating from a road train parked at a rest stop near her home, she investigates. She had no intention of being trapped in the cab on the driver’s unexpected return, nor of being stuck in the truck when he is murdered during the first delivery. But she can’t stay there. She’s discovered the prisoners that were the source of the dread, and the trolls are coming to take them away. With time running short, she must find a way to avoid capture, and summon help, and that means getting past the troll and humans standing guard.

20th - MEN OF SAND AND LIGHT

It was meant to be a surprise for Allan’s farewell, but the only person who got surprised was me. And the only farewell I was lookin’ at was my own, which just shows it’s never a good idea to look too closely at your heroes—even when you’re asked to, because now I’m gonna need a little help. and I don’t know if it’ll come in time.

FEBRUARY 2017

3rd - WHITE PINNACLE

I grew up with the White Pinnacle always on my horizon. It was the first thing I saw in the morning and the last thing I saw at night. Was it connected to me not being allowed to go to sea like the rest of my siblings, and why my father refused to tell me why? The night my sister’s ship capsized, was a night of revelations, but the price… my sister… Was it something I was strong enough to bear?

17th - BANQUET AT MAGIC MOUNTAIN

I hate camp. Every year yada yada yada. The only bright point is Luka, the Wild Man of Camp Mellinjo, an orphan and a stray grown up. When he bolts out of camp with the ook on his tail, I take off to see if I can save him, yet again—and that’s when I discover Camp Melinjo isn’t what it seems, and neither is Luka. But seriously, guys, would my parents really sell me out?

MARCH 2017

3rd - THE MEDUSA'S STARMAN

When the battlespike Oliver is flying is hit as he seeks shelter in the warp, life as he knows it ends. On the other side of the warp waits a new world, a new life, and whole new set of dangers, and Oliver is going to have to pick things up fast, if he is to survive. Will the lady from the caves be his salvation, or will she finish what the crash began?
17th - MEMORY'S RETURN

I don’t remember how I got in the alley, at least, not when I first wake up—and I don’t remember the names of these friendly faces making sure I’m okay, but it’s coming back. I just wish it would come back faster, because one of these faces is all kinds of wrong underneath the friendly veneer, with an agenda all their own, and they don’t mind putting my team in danger. If I don’t remember the whos and whats and whys real soon, one, or all, of us is going to end up dead, and who’s going to save the pixies then?
31st - MAGICIAN'S AND THE SILK ROAD

Hani is surprised when his wife joins him on the journey to barter for spider silk, moreso when she brings their children. Nothing, however, prepares him for what the children do when they meet the spider queen.
